2010

This time last year I embarked on a short satirical novel, inspired by the shattering of the global money illusion. The writing ran into a sandbank after a few months, at about 50,000 words. Over Christmas, I thought about finishing it and giving it away as an iPhone app. Instead (after a conversation with my agent about this idea), I am developing last year's photo and words piece, Stills From The Unmade Film of a Half-Written Novel, into a kind of director's cut app. I have coerced the excellent software training guru Steve Appleton into learning how to code iPhone apps in order to fulfil the plan. The Money Spinner remains unfinished.

JG continues, its plot resolving itself, won't be too long now. I hope not, because another novel is demanding to be written, a family saga called, tentatively, Three.
